I love my kitties, and since you’re here, I assume you love yours too! Or maybe you are just looking for gift ideas for a cat lover in your life. This collection of the best interactive cat toys for bored cats is all tried and true in my house.
Our kitties are indoor cats, so boredom happens! We do our best to provide them with fun since they are always hanging out in The Cottage.
We are blessed to have kitties who are loving towards each other. They spend their days snuggling and playing.

As much as they love playing together, we love to provide fun toys to keep them entertained. They have a whole little area in the house dedicated to their toys, and they love it.
We have spent too much money on toys that don’t get played with, and I don’t want you to waste your money!
All of these links go to Amazon for an easy purchase. I hope your kitties enjoy these interactive cat toys as much as mine have!

1. Round Cat Scratcher

This was one of the first toys we bought our 9-year-old cat. He plays with it almost every single day! Honestly, it’s impressive how much play this old toy gets!
2. Automatic Lazer Toy

This highly-rated automatic laser is interactive and will have your cat playing for 15 minutes at a time. It is so fun that it comes on every 1 1/2 hours! The dog even gets a kick out of the laser.
3. Cat Tunnel

This was the most amazing toy we bought when we got Vito, our youngest kitty. He never stopped loving it. Sometimes I close it up during vacuuming and will leave it closed for a few days. He’ll still play with it all closed up. So silly.
4. Flopping fish

This fish is so fun! It holds charge for a really long time, and every time it gets tapped, it starts flopping the tail around. I love setting it in a box or in the tunnel (pictured above), and it drives the cats wild!
5. Cardboard Hideaway House

This is just one example of these AMAZING cardboard houses. I love these houses so much that I bought one last year that was decorated for Christmas. I even took it apart and packed it up to use again next year. Always have at least one of these around, and they are always taking naps in them.
6. Feather Toy

I bought this for the cats for Christmas, and they have been playing with it ever since!
As a married couple without children, I spend money buying gifts for the 2 cats and the Great Dane and then spend a bunch of time wrapping up all the gifts. Then my husband and I open them with the babies on Christmas morning. Yep, childless adulthood is getting weird, haha!
7. Catnip Balls

These catnip balls barely made it out of the package before the cats were checking them out. The only warning…the dog showed the same interest and ended up chopping through one! These are such a treat for the cats, though.
8. Cat Scratcher

Ok, I hear you. This isn’t much of a toy, BUT these are a staple in my house. Having these around keeps them from scratching the couch, the bed, and everything else!
9. Ball Treat Dispenser

Treats always make the day more exciting and special. I try to limit too many toys like this because my kitties get treats in the morning and the evening, but for extra special days, being able to fill the ball with some treats is perfect.
10. Cat House

We already talked about a cat house, but if you’re looking for a more permanent option, this house is great. If you have more than one cat, they will have a blast playing together on this!
11. Wack-a-Mole Toy

These toys are always a good time. My kitties have been through a few different ones, but this one is much better quality than the cheap ones I’ve picked up from TJMaxx and other stores. I recommend this one!
12. Interactive Ball Toy

This ball is enjoyed by all ages of cats! Don’t be fooled by the kitten in the photo. My older cat enjoys it just as much as our one-year-old.
13. Bonus Interactive Cat Toys!
Boxes! Don’t forget to keep boxes as interactive cat toys from online orders, Costco, or other packages for them to play with! I usually keep them around the house for about a week and then toss them out. Also, bags, sometimes I’ll leave a reusable bag on the floor, and the cats will have a blast with it, or this 2 pack of cat-nip-infused paper bags from Amazon was fun for a while!

Speaking of cat-nip, don’t forget about cat-nip!

Last but definitely not least, your cat loves you! You are the best interactive cat toy you have to offer to your cat so try to make a little time at least a couple times a week to spend playing with your feline friend.

That’s my list of the best interactive cat toys for bored cats! I hope you got some great inspiration for your cat or multiple kitties!
While not all cats are entertained by the same, I’m positive you can find something in here that will keep your cat entertained!
